Fenella Lindsell
Yoga Consultant
For over three decades, Fenella has been sharing her passion for yoga across South West London, currently guiding more than 150 students weekly through creative and accessible classes. Her teaching extends beyond the studio through international yoga retreats designed to welcome practitioners of every age and experience level.
Professional Journey
Fenella's yoga journey began 35 years ago with her certification through the British Wheel of Yoga. In 1996, she established The Art of Health, which grew to become London's premier complementary health and yoga centre during its seven-year run until 2003.
During this period, she created YogaBugs—an innovative story-based yoga programme for young children that gained national recognition through three appearances on BBC Two's Dragon's Den. The programme's success led to its expansion to Australia in 2010, and Fenella authored "The One Bug Your Kids Should Catch" published by Random House.
Her work has spanned diverse settings and populations:
- Collaborated with NHS initiatives focused on older adults through their Expert Patient's Group
- Delivered yoga instruction at a GP surgery for nearly two decades
- Contributed to Imperial College London's research examining yoga's benefits for expectant mothers
Fenella maintains her commitment to professional development through ongoing training with internationally recognised instructors and regular participation in workshops and festivals hosted by The British Wheel of Yoga and other leading teacher training bodies.
